The JORVIK Group’s schools workshop programme aims to spark pupils’ interests in the past by exploring a variety of fun and interesting themes.
Become part of our history with the help of the Vikings of Coppergate or the Servants of Barley Hall experience the lives, beliefs and battles of York’s inhabitants. With the help of an Archaeologist, learn how our buildings, beliefs and daily life can be understood and interpreted through the evidence we leave behind. Each workshop uses hands-on interaction, debate and the evidence from York’s archaeological past to bring history vividly to life.
Part of our new Programme to deliver the new curriculum changes.
We also offer other workshops at different historic locations around York.
